Anyone used a hair removing glove? Did it work?

I biought a pack of these on special offer this week. Thought I'd give them a try. I did try yesterday - a patch on the tops of my legs; which I don't normally shave this time of year But nothing NOt a single hair, as far as I can tell, was remoeved.

What am I doing wrong?

Or are they just rubbish?

Did you go round and round in circles? They're very old-fashioned Hulababy!

PuffTheMagicDragon · 19/10/2004 21:46

Do you mean a silkymit?

beccarollover · 19/10/2004 21:52

Yes - a silkymit. They were selling them off cheap in local chemist - thought I'd try them, as you do you know. Rubbish! As yes, it is just like sandpaper. Seen them before, but never used one. Rubbish, rubbs=ish, rubbish!!!

I'm allergic to hair removal creams so I grasp at any old straw when it comes to removing facial hair (probably shouldn't have admitted to that but what the hey), I tried the small Silkymitt for the face and they were a complete waste of time. I don't think you've done anything wrong, Hula, they're just rubbish!

I can't use the creams either - they bring me out in a horrid red rash all over - very sore and painful too.

Oh well, can always use the sandpaper to exfoliate the dead dry skin on my feet!

OMG! Here I thought I was doing something wrong. I bought these 2 weeks ago and they are complete RUBBISH / GARBAGE / TRASH / CRAP / whatever other words you can think of...just a waste of money and time!

I thought they were a "new" product and the Asian lady at the chemist said she's tried it and it works great, especially the cream (a little packet the size of a KFC wet wipe!), which you couldn't buy a bottle of separately anyway!

The hair on my shins haven't been shaved for about 3 years and I can see them up close, but from a distance you probably wouldn't notice them. I'm starting to play sport again and my teammates are wondering if they'd ever see me in shorts (mostly the men) I swear, after all that rubbing, not a single hair was removed.

GREAT idea Hulababy... I'm going to go sandpaper my heels!
