has anyone ever used or heard of anyone using one of these?
I really fancy one for waking up gently in the dark mornings - but put off by the price tag.

Theres an alarm clock in argos thats a tenner and it wakes you up to rainforest, whale and some other nature sound. I brought one for my mum and she says its much better than DING A LING ALING... dont know about the light one though!

whizzz · 16/10/2004 21:10

You could always just leave the curtains open !

EvesMama · 16/10/2004 21:12

have also seen them, think it was in studio cataloue, but it would take me being sat on the sun to wake me up if i ever got chance to lie in!!!LOL

TracyK · 16/10/2004 21:12

curtains are open - but ds likes to wake any time from 5.30am onwards - and still dark! Plus I'd like to distinguish morning wakings for him and during the night ones - so he doesn't get used to thinking he gets to come into my bed even though its dark.

TracyK · 16/10/2004 21:15

We've got one and it is good. The light comes on gradually before the alarm goes off and although the light doesn't wake you, it rouses you subconsciously and makes it easier to get up when the alarm does go off.

TracyK · 16/10/2004 21:17

I know!
I should really have an early night since no snoring to contend with. But still have to express some milk and then Robbie is on tv and I may not make it upstairs!

mm - I've seen them on the internet too - ranging from £50-£100. Some of them seem to have more options eg dimming down as well as up, timed on and offs like security lights etc.
May try and get dh to buy me one for my bday - although he was going to get me a donut maker!

I've got one and it really does make it easier to get up in the winter. Can't remember where we got it from though, sorry!

edam · 16/10/2004 21:59

It works as a bedside light too so really handy. Will go and see if there's any manufacturer details on it for you.
