sheepskin boots

I have succumbed to the ugg boots look after trying on a lookey likey pair in New Look which were sooo comfortable!
However, what I really want is a black or grey pair, ideally in sheepskin, not fake suede. Have seen some in Toast for about £85. Has anyone seen any cheaper?

I bought black ones from the Celtic Sheepskin Company last year. They are fab. But I think they were about £80 too. Not sure you can get real ones for much less.

I've seen their website. Did you get the calf length celt boots? They do look very nice. I am thinking of treating myself...
Did you find it worthwhile paying the extra for sheepskin? Have they lasted well? And are they as super comfy as they look???!!!

They are gorgeous (once you get past the ugly factor!). I wore them most days last winter & have worn them a fair bit in the past month or so. They are super-comfy, & you wear them without socks which I doubt you could do with synthetic ones. Look really good with skirts as well as jeans. I didn't try others on so don't know about the difference with sheepskin. But they are waterproof, & also you can throw them in the washing machine which I really like. The colour has faded slightly on mine, though I have washed them alot. I've bought some dylon dye to sort them out but don't feel quite brave enough

Oh, I got the shortest ones I think. Regular. Though the calf ones look good for £6 extra...

I didn't realise about the socks - that sounds lovely. As does the washing machine cleaning!
Am very, very tempted...
Maybe when my cheque from the NCT sale turns up...

One of my questions was going to be in respect to the waterproof/grubby factor! Sound just the thing for the school run and after school football! Thing is, I know DH would hate them.

Glad I have corrupted lots of you! I think they're like the winter equivalent of Birkenstocks (though I've got my Camper boots on today - somewhere else where you can spend serious money....).

I still want them but my concern is that you can only get away with wearing them in winter if you tuck jeans inside them and, therefore, you need to be skinny a la kate moss or sienna millar, otherwise you look like a grandma? And I love the idea of wearing with short skirt but frankly it is not even something to be considered with my legs

Krocket - maybe go for the shorter style - you could wear those under bootcut jeans. I think on the Celtic website these are called 'regular' - these are what hoxtonchick has.
I'm planning on getting calf length ones but to wear with knee length skirt, not mini a la Pamela Anderson.

i do have skinny legs, but they're definitely the only skinny part of me. i really like the jeans tucked into boots look, & really don't think you have to be super thin to pull it off. go krocket, buy them!

Have just placed order for the Celt calf boots in black. Am very excited. But also a little scared - I never spend £90 on one item!!! I'm a sale shopper!
Got my NCT cheque which will pay for half of it so that justifies it for me!!

According to the Sunday Times Style magazine today you can get a really nice Ugg copy in, of all places, Sainsbury's for (wait for it) £10! I for one will be looking at those.
