Can someone recommend decent scales?

I need to buy some decent scales to monitor accurate weight loss before a major surgery.
Can anyone recommend some?

The last ones we had were very temperamental and would change weights drastically when used minutes apart with the same item without being moved or changed.. Hmm

I bought this version from amazon a few months ago and as far as I know it has been fine. certainly consistent. I would recommend you make sure to only place scales on a hard floor ideally concrete rather than floorboards. it is possible that your problem is your floors rather than your scales. the physics of weighing things requires that what is being measured is the force that the scales are exerting upwards to support your weight. if scales are placed on carpet, on padded lino tiles or uneven floorboards, in each of those situations a different amount of "give" supporting your weight will be contributed by the flooring underneath the scales rather than the scales themselves, so for a completely accurate weight you need to minimise that factor. I always weigh myself in our downstairs bathroom which has a poured concrete floor base with tiles on top.

I've been happy with Salter scales. Mine are over a decade old and still going strong. They're the type that measure your bmi too. However, i never found the water part to be accurate. I tried it by holding various inanimate objects containing zero water and the reading changed lol. But for weight, they're consistent and good. All the very best for your surgery.
