I've heard B&Q are crap, dh says Moben are too expensive and MFI might be the way to go.
Has anyone got any advice?

We've had IKEA kitchens in our old house and this new one. Brill! One thing that swayed us is that you can fit a dinner plate in the top cupboards which is bizarrely difficult to do with other brands. Also very easy to DIY.

second ikea - can plan it yourself.

NOT MFI. We had one put in a few years ago and the kitchen itself was basically ok but the customer service is terrible, stuff didn't turn up when it should and then the customer service team didn't give a toss ... I could go on.

We have since moved house and currently having a magnet kitchen installed. Friends have Ikea which look fine.

We have just had a Homebase kitchen installed. Fantastic customer service from start to finish on the planning and sales side although we did fit it ourselves. Very good value for money. Incidentally, homebase kitchens can also fit a dinner plate in the top cupboards and as mumclaire says, not many do.

Would definitely recommend them. The only thing I would say is that have the kitchen delivered the week you are having it fitted as you only have 7 days to check everything and let them know if anything is missing or faulty. We actually didn't have any problems with this thank goodness but it was a bit of a worry as we didn't actually have the kitchen fitted until 3 months after it was delivered so would have been too late to get anything changed.

Thanks for all the replies so far.
Can I just ask which style people chose?
i like the Framed Oak from the Homebase site. Couldn't see a price though.

I chose the stainless steel-type one. Sounds awful but it looks really lovely. I liked it because it was unusual and very modern. Very good price (they permanently have a half-price sale on . We have a fairly large kitchen and it cost £2,200 for all the units, taps, sink and integrated cooker and dishwasher.

blimey I like the sound of the price

Yeah so did I Mind you, costs a fair bit to have it installed. Not sure how much homebase charge but it was such a hassle doing it ourselves I would definitely fork up the extra and get them to do it.

Can anyone recommend any other kitchen providers please. I have had quotes of Kitchens direct but the reviews they get on Ciao are terrible!!
