Ride on Wheely Bug

Thinking of getting one of these - ride on animal ,ladybird, bee, frog pig wooden base with omni-directional castors, just to explain if it has other names- for my dd2 for 2nd birthday. She's very physical so thought it would be good but it is very expensive so would like to be reassured it is worth it if anyone has one. Any thoughts ?

I think they would be very good indoors - not so good if she wants to take it into the garden. We opted for a little wooden trike and a Winnie the Pooh ride-on with a little trailer.

We got one for DD when she was 2 as well and she loved it! I was a bit disappointed as I thought it was small but that didn't stop DD. She did use it in the garden as well no problems. It lives in the shed now and is still a big favourite when there are a few kids around.

I managed to get a 2nd hand pig one on eBay, in really excellent condition. Gave it to dd when she was 15mths, and she loves it. She is just 2 now. Definitely a good toy. You could get the larger sized one...

Thanks for the feedback, I think I probably will get one and keep a look out for second hand ones - anyone else experience of them ?

They are well worth the money Oswald. We got the smaller bee first and then the bigger and between them they have been used constantly by ds for nearly four years. If you have or are planning any others after dd2 it will be an even better investment.
I too would go straight for the larger one. Ds was 18 months when we bought the smaller one and he has used the bigger one for much longer.
I do think the Wildchild ones, as pictured in clayhead's link, are the best on the market - they were the originals!
