I-Candy Cherry owners - when to switch to buggy?

DD is only 3 months and already seems bored of pram - instructions say 6 months to switch to pushchair - just wondered if anyone had done it earlier and how they got on.

it will say 6 months as it does not recline very far, so if you do use it it should only be for very short periods of time as it is not good for their back to be in such an upright position.

on the websites I looked at it says the pushchair is suitable from birth so your lo should be ok to use it at a reclined position.

True re back if you're thinking of going straight to a lightweight buggy, but if you've got a pushchair that reclines (eg like part of a travel system), then you could try that earlier as then your baby can sit up a bit and so see around, but you can put the back right down when they nod off. DD also got fed up of not being able to see but a bit of an incline did help.

although other ones say from 6 months, so maybe not - does the seat recline at all?

Thanks, it reclines a bit. They recommend 6 months but perhaps we'll start to experiment soon.

Really though it's the sling she likes best...

We started using it at 5 months, mainly as he was too big for the carrycot! The only thing I dont like about the seat unit is that when you have it fully reclined, their feet are up in the air (if that makes sense) as the seat is more of a bucket style.

If your DD is quite chunky or long and can keep her head upright, then it may be ok for short uses, or you could even experiment with putting a blanket in the gap to 'flatten out' the right angle shape and then put the footmuff on (if you have one, then it will be a bit flatter. I think they say 6 months as the seat shape is not a true lie flat.

Have you tried putting a mobile or pram toy in the pram for her to look at? You could pin on something to the hood that dangles - it may keep her happy!

Thanks, good thoughts. Will have a play.
