i seriously need some of those big knickers that hold your tummy in. put on a LOT of weight when pg and have lost it all but have a horrible saggy tum still. wore my favourite trousers today and looked disgusting, any ideas?

M&S about £18 but well worth it. Also think JML do them

had a look at m&s ones but they don't look BIG enough. need some industrial strength support here, tum and bum, actually i need some whole body knickers.

beleive me, the M&S ones can control an awful lot

beansmum, had some of the m&s ones to wear at my wedding, when dd1 was 4 months old, worked a treat.

Have you tried here . My mother kindly informed me my stomach would now 'stay like that' ie saggy like an old over inflated balloon after all the air has been let out, unless I bound my stomach pronto... she kindly pointed this out to me two days after I had had dd2...

Hi, I bought a body wrap recently and it was miraculous. Basically it is like industrial strength tights for your bum & belly and comes up to underneath your bra and is dead comfie. I got it to get married in as I had the horrible above skirt overhang. Are you in Edinburgh? I got it in a wee shop in morningside called la jolie madame. The women in there are great.

yep, i'm in edinburgh, that sounds like what i need. i want to be able to wear some of my old clothes if i ever get the chance to go out somewhere nice. and i'm thinking of having a posh christmas party for my family to meet bean properly, don't want to look saggy and horible then.

glad to be of assistance. give them a ring before you go as they sell out of them sometimes. you have all my sympathy on the saggy belly front mine was jiggling all by itself in the bath this morning much to my alarm.

beansmum · 06/10/2004 12:34

i wouldn't mind if it was just fat, its the rolls of extra skin that i hate!

You've done amazingly well to lose all the weight, honey. I was enormous at your stage with dd1. So one of these days you'll do some exercise and it'll all start settling back. Don't worry, and in the meantime squodge yourself into the pants!

I have the M&S ones too. They are the best I've found so far at holding my 'baby apron' in, but at a size 20 I find that they don't come up quite high enough on my belly and tend to roll over at the top. There are subtle differences in some of the styles, so it's worth trying several. Aristoc also do a good style (at least, they did a few years ago when I bought them) but don't go up large enough for me!
