Huggies tokens - a rip-off?

I was going to send off for the teddy bear Boy/Girl puzzles (£4 per set plus 10 tokens) when by chance I came across the same puzzles in the Baker Ross catalogue for £3.50 - for both sets!

Has anyone else found the Huggies toys to be expensive? I have emailed them to ask what's happening as there were a few things I was going to get dd for Christmas...

I flicked through the catalogue and decided not to bother - even with the tokens, the products seemed expensive to me. Places like Tesco often supply well made toys at much cheaper prices than this type of offer - eg. their wooden train sets are fantastic, lovely presents and really good value for money. Personally, I wouldn?t bother, just saving and cutting out those tokens are a pain in themselves. Good on you for contacting them, I will be interested in any response you get back!

The reply!
"Our puzzle bears are more expensive because they are larger. We could have stocked the bears similar to the Baker Ross products, but measuring only 105mm x 87mm we considered them too small for a 3 year old to comfortably handle and that they were more of a ?stocking-filler? rather than a toy. Our puzzle bear boxes measure 130mm x 130mm which we felt was an adequate size for a toy a small child could handle well. Baker Ross also charge a minimum carriage charge of £2.75."
Hmmm - I think BR will still be getting my order. Shame they don't do nappies too

I agree!....I couldn't believe the prices we still had to pay for some of the toys etc in the catalogue even with 50 tokens!......rip off...the items didn't even look particularly good quality either!

I looked up a couple of the toys I liked elsewhere on the internet and found them both to be about 95p more than the supposed Huggies 'discount' price -I think I'd rather pay the 95p rather than faff about with dozens of tokens!
