Idea needed on something to put under the playgym and slide in my newly turfed garden to avoid that "bald patch" look. i need to take that grass up and replace but what with? im not keen on the idea of bark as im sure the cats will use it as a giant litter tray. im stumped.

I thought that this was a trick question!
I read Playgym and assumed you meant a baby one. I was going to say "Baby!"
Sorry, no idea. I like that spongey type of tarmac you see in playgrounds, but that's not much help for you is it.

I wonder if that spongey tarmac comes in colours other than black? Maybe wghoever sold you the play equipment could give you some tips. Definitely avoid bark, it stains clothes and is cat poo city.
I thought this was a trick question too Lowryn!

MIL hates cats and put cocoa shells in her flower beds as apparantly they hate them... maybe you could mix these with bark? You could ask about them at your local DIY/Nursery.

We have 5 inches of bark under our swing and not a single cat poo. The rest of the garden is another story entirely.

My friend has a sand pit under hers ... and she covers it every night so there is no cat poo.

sand pit, sand pit, slaps herself...what a good idea...and if it gets spilt in the grass it doesnt matter! ghosty, how is it erm...fitted exactly?
