I want to buy a food processer but not sure which one to get. Don't really want to spend more than about £100. Thinking of getting one with a blender attached so I can do smoothies too to up our fruit intake!. Which is more important....different speeds, watts output, differnet attachments?? Too confused. Advice please.

I got a Kenwood, about £60
Its got a liquidiser and about 4 attachments - I got it for baby food blending but use it more than I thought I would - don't cook much either - and am v happy with it

Its got two speeds and a pulse option - the latter is really useful for getting stuff started or for finishing off to get a really creamy mixture. Don't know about watts, but as for attachments, have a look in the Argos catalogue and just consider which ones you'd use - I wouldn't live without my grated cheese attachment now!!!!!!!!!

The Magimix is fantastic, the one I have was more than £100 but I think they do a smaller more basic one in white that can't be much more than £100, or e-Bay, the Magimix is known for lasting forever.

This looks like a good buy if it doesn't climb too much in price.

get a magimix. it is a bit more than £100 but the only one IME that will last anyway. I went through 3 in 4 yrs (all got burnt-out motors) before i got mine. total cost (minus the magimix) £230, so the magimix is worth it.

Professional chefs all use it and the after sales service is excellent.
