Tommee Tippee electric steriliser

I started using the Tommee Tippee electric steam steriliser on Jan 13th, at first I thought it was ok, but it did make the the bottles very wet. By day six I had started the sterilising cycle when I noticed it stopped suddenly after a couple of minutes, I wiped out the machine, I actually thought maybe I'd done something wrong, but it happened again and again.
I immediately reported it to Tommee Tippee, they response was send photos of the plate and they deal with every case individually. They seem to think it could be limescale-after 5 days of use??? Surely a tiny amount of limescale (not even worth descaling) shouldn't be effecting whether the product works, especially after 5 days of using it???
I have since done some research and found numerous reports of this happening. THIS IS A DANGEROUS PRODUCT AND COULD HARM YOUR BABY because if I hadn't notice this had happened,I would be giving a newborn unsterilised bottles.
I have reported this to trading standards and told the daily mail,
waiting to hear back from both.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND A TOMMEE TIPPEE PRODUCT.
I'm now using the MAM microwave steam steriliser and I'm very happy with it.
