Something to get rid of smell of sick

Dd was sick all over her bedroom carpet and went back to sleep, so I didn't find out for a couple of hours. Cleaned it up, scrubbed the carpet and Febrezed it, but it still smells quite badly. This was a couple of nights ago.

Anyone know what I can do?

bicab made into a paste with water
spread it on, leave it to dry

White vinegar should do the trick.

bicarb solution is the tried and trusted method here - ds had serious projectile vomitting when he was teething!

Try Febreeze - used when DD puked in car.

bicarb is THE way to do it. Everything else leaves you with a different smell of one kind or another overlaying the original one - bicarb just removes it completely, it's magic.

Bicarb it is then!
Is it effective even when its dried on sick? Well its all cleaned up but it was Friday night.
Cheers all

I must admit that I use the dettol spray anti-bacterial spray on the rug in DS's play room and that works really well, but you aren't supposed to use it on carpets which I only realised when I ready the back of the bottle!!

Didn't do it any harm though, but it is an old rug.

Make a runnier paste of the bicarb if the sick has dried. Honestly, it is definately the best as probably cheapest option!
