Please tell me about your filofax ...

I'm very tempted by an A4 one ...

Aren't we all MumMcMumface!!!! If only I could convince DH to buy me one......... :P

I prefer A5. It's more handbag friendly. Mine's a pale mint green. Love a filofax - helps me feel organised when I am far from it!

Poundland had (as in a month ago) their own 6 ring binder (a5) that I couldn't resist for a specialised Christmas planner, the inserts were pretty decent quality too tbf.

Dokibooks are also worth looking at but they come from China so you need to be careful with customs just incase. Pretty pricy but I have three currently and they are at least 2 years old, you'd never know I have even opened them.

Personally I would avoid the domino ones because the elastic always broke v quickly for me and it also marks whatever is next to it (if another filofax) they always became a bit weaker in the middle too ime because of the constant on and off of the elastic but then the presstud flap is a bit similar after time

I keep pondering the idea for an A4 for the house and turn it into a home planner (all the details on one place, renewal dates, important dates, important information etc etc).

I LOVE my Filofax! I had used an a5 for work but moved to the personal size. It was just too heavy and bulky for carrying about.

Filofax Clipbook is available in A5 and A4 (less cover choice but think there may be one with a zip around also). It also lies flat. Any filofax diary insert of the correct size works within it, so long as you bear in mind the lower number of pages it can comfortably take. That means choose sth like a 'week to view per page plus notes page' rather than a 'page a day'.
I used to have a 'pocket' Finsbury Filofax in my hand bag but now use google calendar on my phone when out and about. I find the pocket size too fiddly to write in thesedays and too heavy.
At home I have a leather A4 Arc by Staples (discs) open on the kitchen worktop (I print the inserts for it off the Philofaxy Blog site and use the expensive hole punch).
For my 'proper' diary which has my thoughts written in it, I have switched to an A5 filofax clipbook. I buy the diary insert from Filofax for this one. The clipbook always comes with undated diary inserts which don't work for me. I use them as menu planners instead.
So I suppose you could say I am a Clipbook convert using mainstream filofax inserts. The main issue with most other filofaxes being their inability to lie flat. Hope this helps....
