Recommendations for a new hoover, NOT a dyson!

What are your current thoughts?
I think Dysons are great at first but seem to lose their sooking power after a bit and I have gone through three in five years ( and I don't use them much!)
Anyone got any recommendations or ones to avoid?
Thanks

Henry is fantastic, I love it, even my kids love Henry. He falls down the stairs on a regular basis and survives brilliantly. If I ever got another cleaner it would be another Henry, but with the extras. He is seriously cheaper than all others, why spend £250 on a dyson!! And he is cute OK there are no fancy features in him, but who uses them all anyway!!

bought a Henry on Saturday and am delighted with his performance so far.
Wil report back if he disappoints in the long term

you can even use a henry if you run out of bags.
DH has one on the ship he works on, and uses it to suck all the gunk out of the engines, has had the same hoover on the ship for about 4 years, so far, and still going strong.

I never use bags in my Henry, I do chuck in a vac freshner thing becasue I have a dog and it smells 'doggy' otherwise.

Well done Jasper

Now I really must get a life.

I'm really impressed with our Morphy Richards Pod thing. It's a bagless cylinder thing with a filter you wash out and it's really light (which is great for us cos we've got lots of stairs to hoover).

My Henry has arrived too, I'm very impressed with him! We have the builders in at the moment so he has been working very hard!

Good to know he can be used without bags if need be.
