Persoanlised story books - anyone used My Adventure Books?

Has anyone bought (or have) a personalised book from My Adventure Books ?

Just had an advert come in a magazine, and was looking at it as possible stocking filler type pressies.

I quite like the idea of the personalised Disney ones - DD adores Beauty and the Beast.

They seem a reasonable price - less that £8 including P&P.

But anyone seen one in RL? What are they like?

Cheers

My parents got ds the Santa one last year. It's OK - he liked it but I thought it could have been a bit better written. For instance, you need to give names of child's friends and siblings etc. - well, my ds has his sister and also 2 friends next door. In the story, the 3 extra names were always lumped together so eg it states something like " stockings for XXXX (ds), XXXX (dd), XXXX and XXXX (friends) were all hanging together" - which of course is not true and my ds picked up on this.

Cheers.

I wonder if that problem might not be so obvious in the Disney stories??? Hmmmm. DD is only 2.5yo so probably wouldn't pick up on it so much anyway yet.

My dad gave dd and ds one each for Christams last year. The stories don't really feature the kids themselves that much but both liked them, and I had initially worried that at almost 6 ds would be too old. He now likes to read his own book by himself. The details are already a bit out of date though as we have moved ! btw we have the Winnie the Pooh and Tigger stories.

I bought 3 of these books 2 years ago, for DS, niece and nephew. Was very worried as had no idea what to expect (no website then!) -but was pleased with outcome. DS is now 4 and enjoys seeing his name, his cousins name and a friends name in print - am going to order for DD and friends child this year. DS had the Zoo mystery story, and the other names were spread throughout the book - so not all clumped together. The other ones i chose before were Dinasour and Alice in Wonderland.
