Renault Wind

I'm looking for a replacement car.
I'm considering a roadster and I can't help but be attracted to the unfortunately-named Renault Wind.

I don't know anyone who has one as they're seem quite rare and only made between 2010-2012.

It would fit my bill quite well - ie a roadster, cheap to buy and strange quirky.

Thoughts, o wise ones?

I know from bitter experience that buying a car which was not widely sold (at all, in the case of one I ran abroad) in the country where you live is fine until they start to go wrong. When you can't find a mechanic who knows how to work on one, and he can't get parts for it anyway....

This would be a serious consideration for a seven year old Renault.

Thanks @Otherpeoplesteens

I hadn't really given much thought to that side of things.

Back to the drawing board.....

The Renault Wind uses standard Renault parts that are standard on many more popular models, so you should have no issues there.

Also look at the Vauxhall Tigre, a very similar car.

Personally, in the world a cheap low powered roadsters, I think the Mazda MX-5 is miles ahead of anything else.

I like the Mazdas too, but they seem very low down. I have a colleague with one, so I may ask to sit in. I'm getting on- not sure my old knees would copeGrin
