olive i dont know i have this dilemma too (and dd1 starts next week)
some are plain plastic (hard) others are soft and have plastic lining

oh the heady world of lunchboxes

totaleclipse · 07/08/2007 09:59

Oooh, I love the hungry jungle ones, wish I had'nt already bought ds now.

expatinscotland · 07/08/2007 09:59

Now the flask one she chose another horrid dog one. With a picture of a Westie on it.

Eewww. Smelly dog.

nailpolish · 07/08/2007 09:59

OMG littlelapin they are fcking fab!

Cappuccino · 07/08/2007 10:00

maybe that was the dog I was talking about expat I am no dog expert

I couldn't understand why you'd want to associate your food with a dog either

expatinscotland · 07/08/2007 10:01

It's horrid, isn't it, Cap?

But the second she saw it she was all, 'Aw, a wee dawg. Please may I have . . . '

Cappuccino · 07/08/2007 10:02

ooh no 'wipe clean'

puts the fear of god into me

means 'spills will continue to fester in the foam padding for the entire term'

then you put it in the washer in desperation and the whole thing falls to bits

nailpolish · 07/08/2007 10:02

omg LL these lunchboxes have made me larf
the snake and the vulture are hilarious

nailpolish · 07/08/2007 10:04

i think im losing it - laughing at lunchboxes - i must go and do something constructive...

TranquilaManana · 07/08/2007 10:10

think im losing it too - am getting all and wistful at the jungle lunchboxes and how cute my 3 would look with a croc, a polar bear and a whatever walking into nursery in the mornings. instead of power rangers, bob the builder and an overpriced firew engine from gap.

totaleclipse · 07/08/2007 10:13

Do you think those jungle luchboxes are to young for a nearly 7 year old?

nailpolish · 07/08/2007 10:14

oh no not at all eclipse

look at the snake one - its funny

totaleclipse · 07/08/2007 10:15

The snake one is the one ds ie eyeing up ................ now wheres my bank card.

elasticsortinghandstand · 07/08/2007 10:17

tesco did a value pink one one year, and woolies, if you look in the picnic part probably do a material one, rather than plastic

KTeePee · 07/08/2007 10:17

Those soft "wipe clean" ones are crap - always look filthy - even if you put them in the washing machine. Hard plastic are better imo - you can hose them out every day!

youre getting more LL? why?

kslatts · 07/08/2007 10:21

I always let my dd's choose their own lunchboxes, I don't care what colour it is or what it has on the front.

TranquilaManana · 07/08/2007 10:22

good lord kslatts, wheres the fun in that??

totaleclipse · 07/08/2007 10:23

Could'nt resist have a bag and flask, now is anyone interested in buying a 'CARS COOLBAG' that I bought just2 weeks ago

elasticsortinghandstand · 07/08/2007 10:24

and why can't they have a plastic see through one?

nailpolish · 07/08/2007 10:24

lol tranquila

expatinscotland · 07/08/2007 10:31

I certainly didn't chose the pink food storage containers with that ghastly Yorkie and sweeties on it.
