I currently have a Hauck Infinity Espirit. Only had it a few months and while it is a lovely pushchair its going to become a bit unpractical.

Baby no.3 is due in November and ds will 15 months then.
So what I'm thinking is buying a new smaller stroller to use from now till new baby arrives, then stick it in a cupboard, use a tandem and then when ds can walk happily by the pushchair, get back out the stroller again.

My friend has just been round and she has the Chicco London Winter stroller and I quite like that. It ticks all the boxes, light, simple, reclines, has a shopping basket and I really like the handles. Plus I've seen a good seller on ebay that sells them for £29.99!

But before I just leap in, I just want to make sure theres nothing else that I'm missing.
Dont want to spend a fortune either cos I'm not so sure how much we'll get back for the Hauck.

TIA.

Right just had a look on the Mothercare site and I like the Cosatto Dixie Sport too. Looks identical to the Chicco.

Anyone got one of these?

how much are you actually going to use it? Tesco Direct have a blue stroller, reclines, shopping basket, very basic, £18 i think.....unbrella fold. We have bought two for DT's to take on hols instead of nipper double (they are nearly 3 but may still need somewhere to snooze in an evening when we are out.)

the chicco has a habit of falling apart very quickly and without warning! have a look at the hauck aluflash

yep.......total pants and i didnt find it the smoothest pram to push either....i paid 69 quid for it and was chuffed because it came with a cosytoes and raincover but i was a waste of money......i now have a quinny and am a much happier mummy

BrianOnTheRack · 06/08/2007 14:57

"So what I'm thinking is buying a new smaller stroller to use from now till new baby arrives, then stick it in a cupboard..."

Do NOT stick your baby in a cupboard.

Nbg · 06/08/2007 14:57

Ahh we used to have a Quinny from when we had dd but I sold it earlier this year.

I cant get excited over Maclarens at all and they are quite pricey too imo.

i've only ever had a maclaren double and hated it, heavy, bulky and a bugger to push. but i guess single anything will be better than that.

Nbg · 06/08/2007 14:58

ha ha Brain.

Good idea though.

they are pricey but good.

how old would baby likely to be when you go to using a astroller for him.her?

Meeely2 · 06/08/2007 14:59

has anyone seen the wow oui single strollers - tooooo cute!

www.wowoui.com/

Nbg · 06/08/2007 15:01

well ds will be in it now and he's one in 2 weeks and be using it for 3 months.

I guess baby will be around 1 themselves. It all depends on how good ds will be at walking.

DD liked to walk everywhere. She hasnt had a pushchair for nearly 2 years and shes not 4 yet.

I would recommend Maclaren
Boots have 20% off online for strollers at the mo

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 06/08/2007 15:04

i would go for maclaren triumph or quest then.

maclarens are built well and made to last.

Nbg · 06/08/2007 15:05

hmmmm

20% off...........
