Any Subaru Forester or Legacy owners out there? Can you recommend them?

We've come to the conclusion that our Audi A6 Avant is not the car for us. Lovely on motorways but not suited to poorly maintained rural roads and speedbumps. Dh thinks a Subaru Forester or Legacy would be better able to cope with this style of driving.

If you get a not turbo one the mpg is fine

but you wil,l not have half as much fun

well not strictly true
The non turbo still holds the road like glue and you can go round corners like a maniac Obv you will have fewer speeding tickets too

I drive a family sedan - huge thing. I recently drove SIL's forester and was amazed at the good visibility especially at the back and blind spots.

I've never had a speeding ticket or any motoring offence

ds claims I drove him back from school up the m40 at 120mph once...but I'm sure I didn't
