I bought one of these last week and for the life of me I can't work out how a baby is to get anything out of it ... I can't get a drop out myself .... what's the secret?

Here is the link ... click the 'Easiflow cups' bit on the left and it is the Easiflow Spill-Proof First Cup

You need to bite on the teet to get anything out!

Thanks Becca ...
Ok ... so, how do I tell my baby that? She can't even work out how to sip from a sippy cup! I don't want to encourage her to bite down to get a drink (ouch my poor nips!) ...
Silly me, thought the words Easiflow meant Easy Flow, not Bite Down to Get a Drop Flow ...

Yes I have one - do you want it? along with the rest of the non spill cups that we (DS & I) find impossible!!!!!

I find the boots one good...tommee tippee and anyway-up-cups have been relegated to the top cupboard or the bin respectively, though some of my friends use them apparently OK...

DS used the anyway up cups with no bother at all ... but DD just doesn't get the hang of drinking anything from anywhere except my boobs or if absolutely necessary a bottle ...
We have a heinz baby basics cup with a soft spout which she loves ... she chews the spout with her gums, sucks the water out, sits there with a mouthful of water laughing at me and then spits it all out again! ... it is her favourite game

My 3yo ds worked out how to bite and get the drink within minutes, but the TT cup I bought was for dd, who was about 12mo, and nearly a year later she still can't get a drop out of it. It's been relegated to the back of the cupboard, together with all the Anywayup-type cups. Ds uses regular cups (though he does like a spouted beaker for his bedtime milk) and dd uses Avent spouts.

What about a sports bottle? Tomme Tippee make a flip top "on the go" cup as well I think. Not leakproof though. DS loves those Easiflow cups BTW, he prefers it to anything else. Also I think for a lot of kids, biting down is very natural on the soft spout. But it leaks, so I force him to use the Anyway up cup when we go out.

Hi all,not sure of the make but try ur local chemist, they might do a two pack cup one blue one yellow...
As my dd didnt have any teeth til quite late she also found it impossible to use the cups you have all tried..
I swore by my dd until we lost them...now is happy with a straw and a spill one...Could be worth a try...

I use the TT flip-top cups for DS (12mths) and have since he was 4mnths. I've not intention of moving to the non-spill cups unless absolutely necesarry. IMHO it makes it harder for them to drink, so why bother?

Oh and he's quite happy to drink his milk from one as well.. now if I could just get him to fold the spout back down by himself I'd be sorted!!!

I've always used This Sort for DS (now 3) it is non spill as well. He too had bother trying to get anything out of those blooming spouts.
