just bought a vtech baby push along thingy for dd and she loves it. BUT i'm going to leave it at my mums for her. I want something for home now. She's nearly walking and loves to push the vtech around BUT I want something that will last longer than just a few months- the vtech has a musical thing on the front that she also loves. Recommendations please

no the one we got from John Lewis is quite chunky similar to this one i've done a link for we got it for our dd at about 10 months but she was diddy. Also found we would put dolls and teddy to weigh front down.

What we did was take her to the toy shop where they had them on display and let her play.

The wooden walkers with the tray full of bricks are good as they are quite stable when babies are pulling themselves up, they can stack the bricks and throw them and when a little older use it to transport everything they own . I had the vtech walker but found it went too fast on wooden floors and wish I'd bought the wooden one.

in addition we also bought a babygym which converted into a walker but doubt this would be as much use.

The other thing we've got is a push along car
car

We got lots cause DD was cruising at 6 months and walking alone at 9.6months very into pushing things

We had a car which was quite good because it had a rear "mudguard". If DD put too much weight on the handle, the mudguard just touched the floor and balanced the car, instead of tipping straight backwards.

cheers-fancy one of the old fashioned ones as i've also got a wooden floor

You can slow them down - wrap a bit of string around the axle. Then when they get bigger you can take it off.

I got a galt wooden walker (where you can store bricks) for my son at about 9 months, it is really stable and good for walking, he likes to sit on it and be pushed and I have had 3 year olds play with it all afternoon too, pushing toys around giving each other rides etc.galt Its under products then classics (click on the baby)

IKEA do a good wooden one, really cheap as well (although you do have to put it together yourself).
