Maggie you might want to call first as they're both small shops that don't hold loads of back stock. i think the upper street one is called something like Felix and Rosie. Woman in Rubadubdub always v helpful.

just remembered there's also a list of stockists on the icandy website - google it - i seem to remember there's a stockist in wood green too. you might hv guessed i hv a cherry. dd 4 weeks old - and asleep on lap so scuse typing - so early days for the cherry but so far so good

try microlite website for stockists too...

Hope things are going well with your 4 week old!

Ive now had a look at the Micralite Toro and the Icandy Cherry. The Cherry looks great - my only reservation is that you cant fold the pushchair down with the seat attached to the frame.

Has anyone experience of this - and how much of a hassle is it? Im thinking of when in cafes etc - grappling with baby and a pushchair in two sections may be a challenge ... everything else about it looks fab though - so light!

you won't be folding it up in a cafe (most wodulntl ened you to anyway) or anywhere (bus etc) if it needs to come apart, what a faff ! If you are liekly ot need ot do so regualrly look elsewhere there must be plenty of prams where that simply isn't necessary .

NoviceKnitter · 30/07/2007 21:34

I'd agree cherry not the one if you want the simplest to fold and store - just depends on priorities - no buggy has it all it seems. with alot of ones that allow baby to face fwd or back you hv to take seat off to fold. but not all. cherry is the lightest tho. i did lots of research and went for cherry knowing i'd probably get a maclaren too. hth.

Sorry to hi jack but how small does the cherry fold down? I've got a vw polo so small boot. Will try before i but anyway but I'm impatient!

NoviceKnitter · 31/07/2007 22:51

It's not an umbrella buggy so the frame folds flat but stays as wide iyswim, then the pram bit or buggy bit lies on top. so not the smallest - but it is very easy to fold. reckon would fit your polo but wouldn't leave you loads of space in the way that an umbrella fold would. if i only travelled by bus i prob wouldn't have got it but it works fine for car imo. so far pleased with it but only used pram bit as dd still tiny. hth.

oh thanks, hope it fits i tried it today and it feels so light. Got jane carrera atm and only put that in the boot so as long as it goes in i will prob buy. Which colour have you got?

NoviceKnitter · 31/07/2007 23:08

have got the fudge. we bought the red first and then changed our mind and exchanged it - can't believe the things you have time to do or even think about before baby arrives! tbh don't think either colourway is fantastic but fudge more neutral...

it is so light that was main reason i went for it. also steers really well and buggy faces both ways which was something i was keen to have.

good luck!

used2bthin · 31/07/2007 23:14

yes i'm getting it cos it can face both ways, wish i'd just got it in the first place but i think they are fairly new. I agree about the colourways, think I am going for the same as I've got a pink buggy snuggle. Wanted something a bit more exciting really cos my other pushchair is just black, sigh. Will get a bright change bag to make up for it I think. Bet it'll be filthy in no time with my DD around but saying that so is the black one cos it shows up every bit of milk or suncream etc.

Yeah that's my take too - get the plain fudge and accessorise for colours! plus already dirtyish colour so won't look so tatty when dirty...hopefully...
