Hi Im new on here. I have 2 children already - a son who will be 3 in December, a 17 month old and am due again in 8 weeks. Has anyone got any magic ways of transporting my little lot please? My son will walk but gets tired quite quickly and is too heavy for buggy pod (as he is 15kg). Im thinking of getting Graco Satdium Duo for daughter and new baby but am not sure of a solution for my son. Have not had experience of using a Buggy Board but do they not get in the way when you are trying to push the pushchair? Thanks for your help.

this one is great...I have it as a single pushchair with a Toddlerseat, but it is available as a double with Toddlerseat

My friend has just bought a bertini steerable with a toddler seat and a bertini buggy board, she also has an imported triple tandem (but you can take one seat off and use as a double) that do come up on ebay from time to time and has had a M&P (but peg perego) triple tandem too.

a friend had a lovely Pram for 3, it was one wiht a carrycot, a toddlerseat and a build in Buggyboard, but no idea of the make right now...can't remember!

Not sure about Buggyboards, although, I suppose if you put them on a Double, side by side one, they might not be so much in the way...however, tehre is a little bike attachemnt that might work...think it's called swiss strolli...

Must have been teh Bertini one she has then

I've seen people put a kiddyboard on the make of a double nipper and double urban detour. I've also got friends who regularly pop a third in the middle of the urban detour and they just hold onto the bumper bar.

What about a double buggy that will lay back or sit up and a sling. That way when your son gets tired, you can pop baby into the sling and he can go in the pushchair. I would really get him practicing walking though. Both of mine were out of buggies by the time they were 3.

My older one was 6 weeks past her third birthday when no 3 was born so from the on she had to walk, so I must have made her walk a lot before then????

Wow 3andnomore that one sounds great - if you can find out the name I would be very grateful - thanks to everyone.

Yep am trying to get son walking as much as possible now so that he might be ready for when baby comes. Really would prefer something I could put him on or strap him into as I am partially sighted and dont want him running off !!

I would put baby and toddler in pram and then take a sling so if your Ds is tired he can swap. I will say my ds used to get tired but when DD2 was due I made him walk. He didnt have much choice as DD1 was only 12mths and only just walking when DD2 arrived and he was 3,2yrs. I suppose it also depends on how much your Dd walks as my DD1 is now 19mths and walks as well if not better than Ds so she hopes in and out of back seat on my phil and teds while DD2 is in the front and occasionally if he is very very tired I let Ds sit in it.

Nemo2007 · 26/07/2007 14:51

also of course can use a wrist strap so he cant run but he may surprise you, my ds is quite sensible about walking holding onto the pram.

CarGirl · 26/07/2007 15:13

Okay it is a bertini shuttle, there are lots of different bertini's that you can attach both a toddler seat and a bertinit baord to have a look on ebay. Here is the item number of the one my friend has 320138547625

Chattyhan · 26/07/2007 15:19

Hi Rosie2404 - i would agree with Nemo and have a double and a sling.

Come and join us on the due in sept thread here i'm due 15th sept and have DS 2.5

bozza · 26/07/2007 15:31

Yes letting the middle child take a turn at walking might work with the aid of wrist strap/reins. DS was fantastic at holding the pram. The only problem I had was getting him to let go to go through a narrow gap.
