Yes, I was going to say the same as Twiglett, our Grobag has a zip, which is reversed i.e. it zips up from top to bottom, IYSWIM. My dd is VERY wriggly, and she's never managed to wriggle out of hers...

I'm sure this is not the case HKO but is your ds starting to grow out of his bag - maybe go up a size (if they go any larger??) this has been the case I think with my ds in the past even though he wasn't near the end of the bag yet. just a thought.

could try making homemade bag by sewing two blankets together and adding tapes to the top to tie round the mattress or something. not a sewer myself, does it show?

hazlinh · 14/09/2004 08:34

mine is the purple jonas jodie one with the butterfly (i think) at the front). it has a zip at the bottom end but the shoulders have poppers, or whatever you call them!
dunno whether i shud fork out the money to send it to a shop for fixing1 (my sewing skills are non-existent)

Tissy · 14/09/2004 08:39

sorry, acnebride, I understand your reasoning, but NO WAY should you make a bag that could tie round the mattress. Child could get tangled in the ties and be strangled.

Look here for Grobags that have reversed zips. I've found them to be excellent quality. You can usually get 2nd hand ones on Ebay as well.

Alternatively, have you thought of replacing the popper with a small patch of velcro?

acnebride · 14/09/2004 09:13

Thanks Tissy, I'm really relieved that someone spotted this and corrected it. sometimes wonder what other awful things I've stuck on threads that are still sitting there

bunnyrabbit · 14/09/2004 09:41

Like the idea though acnebride!! What about velcroing the sleep bag to the bed tee hee

BR
PS Am sitting in the office giggling out loud a the thought of DS vecroed to his cot and wondering if I could do the same to DH!!!

HKO · 14/09/2004 12:21

DS not actually wriggled out, but think he sleepwalks round his cot, gets grobag stuck under feet or all twisted round and gets in a right fuddle. was looking for a sleepsuit with legs?? not sure a blanket and sheet will work as he'll end up out of that too!
