Quinny Zapp with carseat - OK with heavyish baby?

We're going to London soon by train and I don't want to travel without a carseat as we'll be using taxis a lot once there. Don't want to take our Mountain Buggy cos it's not small, or our Phil & Teds ( yes, I know I have too many pushchairs) cos DD shouldn't need it) We'll also have a fair bit of luggage as we're going to a wedding.

What's the Zapp like with the Maxi Cosi carseat? Still easy to push with an 18lb 4mth old? How much use would we get out of it in this mode? I'm not bothered that it doesn't recline when used in pushchair mode as we'll always take a 3wheeler on the usual type of holidays we take etc.

And where's the cheapest place to buy a Zapp?

Oh, and I WILL sell the P&T soon...

There is a brand new zapp for sale in the for sale section. Sorry I never used mine with a carseat, but wouldn't have thought it would be hard to push at all!

TRavel systems are not designed for long term use (20-30mins max IMO).....they are not good for baby....sorry

Thanks SMS, I'd only use if for short trips popping into shops from car, and for weekend in London I hate to see babies spending ages in car seats, but think he'll be fine at 4mths in the car seat for an hour at a time over the London weekend.

I have a lie flat Mountain Buggy, and a carrycot which fits onto the chassis. And a Phil & Teds double with lie flat seat, but they're too large to take on train along with rest of junk you need to accompany DH and 2 kids!

I had a maxi cosi and a zap and it is fine and easy to deal with as long as you have put wd40 into the adaptors for the car seat to take it on and off, and you are not going on rough ground (zap not good off road or on uneven stuff)
