yes they are, i use them for my 5 month old and my 3yr old. they are fine, just as good as branded ones - more absorbant than huggies IMHO

pucca · 08/07/2007 18:35

I tried them and didn't like them, i prefer tesco's for own brand, asda's i found bad too.

callmeovercautious · 08/07/2007 18:45

Have just read an article on nappies - Which? Magazine just tested them all and after Pampers, Asdas comfort dry came next best. Sainburys were 5th (above Huggies).

Sainsburys sell nature baby ones that came 3rd best and they are biodegradable and chlorine free (I use them and think they suit my DD best).

HTH

Don't buy them - newborn size are rubbish - DS wee'd and pooed right out of them.

Katymac · 08/07/2007 19:07

I really like the nature baby ones

I dislike huggies/pampers

I can't really tell the brades apart

Gingerbear · 08/07/2007 19:07

Naturebaby ones are good (we use when out and about as am now fully paid up lentil weaver with cloth nappies)

schneebly · 08/07/2007 19:08

I have always found tesco ones to be the best.

ChristmasPud · 08/07/2007 19:17

Tried Sainsburys ones when DS about 1 1/2lbs below to top weight. They leaked a lot so gave them to someone with a much smaller baby in hope they would be o.k.

Jojay · 08/07/2007 19:28

I use the Sainsbury's Active fit type ones and haven't had a leak or problem yet

Nbg · 08/07/2007 19:33

Oh god!

Well I was going to do an online shop but dh has said he'll go do it himself so panic over for now.

I was just looking for a cheaper alternative to Pampers.

Go for the naturebaby ones - what size do you need?

Nbg · 08/07/2007 20:37

It will be size 4 I think.

Thats what we're using atm.

No they are diabbolical, so bad I wrote a letter of complaint to sainsbos. Get tesco or Aldi much better

Gingerbear · 08/07/2007 20:50

Yes!
boy, 22 may 7 13oz am typing one handed
there's an announcement somewghere

Nbg · 08/07/2007 20:50

Really!!!?

Why, did they leak bad?

I cant do with leaking nappies. Even pampers are letting me down atm thanks to ds's bowels.

OP posts:
Nbg · 08/07/2007 20:51

I use Sainsbury's Ultra Dry on 6mo ds2 and they're fine - last a 12 hour night, inc 3 feeds without leaks. I found the active ones were rubbish for 22mo dd - they sagged loads and gave her nappy rash.

Tesco's Superfit are definitely the best unbranded nappies imo, though.

Bubbaloo · 09/07/2007 16:28

I bought Sainsburys nappies once and that was enough. They leaked something dreadful.
Tesco nappies are very good though IMO.

bewilderbeast · 09/07/2007 19:09

Nbg, in response to your question (sorry for delay) the fit was very poor compared to other non branded nappies and they are the only nappy that has ever leaked on me when correctly fastened. They were very papery and scratchy, they looked poorly made and seemed to make ds uncomfortable. hth.
