Audi Q7 for a family of 5?

Hello,
Unexpectedly pg with dc3. We currently have a qashqaui and love it.
Mon- fri it will be fine as dc1 is old enough to sit in the front on the school run with 2 car seats in the back. We need something bigger for when we go places on weekends ect and all of us are in the car together.
We have looked at the Volvo 90. The Land Rover and the Audi that have the 2 extra seats in the back for occasional use.
I liked the Audi more as the boot seats were also isoix and it seemed to have the most room and dc1 said it was most comfortable.
We also looked at the x trail but the boot seats were very small and dc1 could barely get in them.

Has anyone got any advice for us please?! We want a bigger car so nothing like the ford s max something high up.
Thank you

Thank you for everyone advice.
For those of you with 3+ children I’m just making sure, we need a bigger car don’t we, we won’t cope in the nissan qashqaui

The Ford edge has 7 seats too and have heard good things about it.
My fiance wanted the old discovery but it's so bloody expensive on road tax!

The q7 is a lovely car so would be my no. 1 choice x

Also the qashqai does a ' +2' edition if you like the 5 seater, but I think the boot is relatively small when the seats are up

We have four children and a large dog, and we looked at the XC90 and the Disco and felt they were both like inverse Tardises - huge on the outside but small inside - we always have to have at least one seat up in the third row and there was very little boot space or legroom when you have someone sitting in the last row. We currently have a VW Sharan which is absolutely fabulous - we trek down to the South of France in it and back and forwards to my parents in the West Country and although it's starting to be a bit small (Eldest DS is 14 and 6ft 1, and DD is 5ft 10), we won't be getting a big 4x4 because I don't think they are any bigger inside, and certainly not as fuel efficient! But we do have one extra child and a large dog. I should think with 'only' three children Grin, you will be fine!

If you are going to spend £40k I would keep your money and lease it .. you can have a brand new car every 3 years for a few grand a year and keep your savings..Imo a much better way to have a new car .. I wouldn't buy a £40k out of warranty 😬

See I don’t understand leasing. My husband thinks it’s a waste because you don’t have anything to show for the end of it?! We are very anti debt no credit cards ect
I’m not adverse to leasing but I just don’t understand it and all the sales people seem to be selling it to us rather than explaining it

I wouldn’t lease if I was spending £40k
