DS and DH have decided to make homemade pasta for the teachers at school as an end of term leaving present.

I thought we could put it in those nice scrunchy bags and tie them with a ribbon and a gift tag and they will look lovely!

Where can I find the bags I mean?

Pleeeeeeease help.

There is a Lakeland in Windsor near me!

Might check their website.

failing that cellophane from a gift shop or florist - cut in a big circle with a bow (use a plain plastic bag inside it to actually hold the pasta)

i think baker ross might do them www.partypieces.co.uk do them and ribbon as well

Go to your local florist and ask if you can buy a couple of metres of cellophane, it costs a couple of quid and you can make them as big/small as you like. You might be able to buy some thick ribbon which you can tear off into thinner bits and squirl with a pair of scissors as well.

Sorry - saw that you KNOW about the ribbon. LOL>

eBay do have cellophane bags with tons of designs last time I looked

BettySpaghetti · 02/07/2007 18:48

Ebay sellers that do party supplies.

You can get them with designs like stars, balloons, stripes etc on. Usually come in packs of about 12-20 and are very cheap yet make gifts/party bags look very professional

Ah but if you make them yourself, you will get brownie points. Drawing round a circular tray or charger should give you a big enough bag plus when you tie tightly they will be airtight.
