My Dsis is pg and looking around for a pushchair/pram, would like one that can face front or rear. She's seen the M & P Skoot on at half price, but would like some feedback - anyone have any experience of these? She's tall, has a reasonable size hatchback (I'm always paranoid about things being difficult to get into boots) and isn't likely to use public transport much. Would this suffice, do you think? Any feedback welcome!
TIA

Hopeful bump - she's really excited (pfb) and wants to dash out and get one ASAP....

I don't have one BUT my friend does. She got it because she has limited use of her hand/arm so needed something light enough for her to lift alone and thats easy to push vitually with one hand.

I think she find it fine and she found it fitted into her old car (now got a bigger one) which was a peugeot 206.

TBH seeing it in "real life" its wouldn't be my first choice BUT suppose it does the job..think its the colour im not 100% on..Can't make my mind up if I love it or am shocked at it....

BUT if colour etc is not a problem then yeah its possibly a good choice...what else has she looked at.? TBH I wouldn't rush into it due to the price. Shop around and narrow things down because there is a lot of choice out there and a variety of prices....I think the skoot maybe coming to the end of season..? Hence the price reduction.

btw with dd and ds I wanted a pram that face forward and backwards..I got a m&p ultima which cost me well over £500 and in hindsight I probably wouldn't have got it. To big for what my useage was iykwim.

I now have a quinny buzz and although its not everyones cup of tea dh & I love it.Ticks all the boxes AND looks good ioho. HTH.X

Shhhh, thank you so much - I'd really 'bigged up' MN and how Dsis would be able to get real-life-mums' opinions of the Skoot, and was beginning to feel rather silly! It's frustrating as I haven't seen one - love pushchair research, and vicariously is my only option now I think, not planning any more DC......

I would go and look at one to get a feel and to form an opinion before your dsis buys one herself. Presume it will be bought from m&p's direct as think their current price is around £170..?

Suppose its all "each to their own". I know when I asked my freidn her opinion etc on it as if she "got along with it" she replied that it suited her BUT she even commented on the colour...Its very...Uhhhmmm..white. .

BUT that may be suited to your sister. She needs to see what she wants from a pram (front/rear facing is a good start) and go from there. TBH, when we got our 1st pram for dd (now on our 4th and only got 2 lo's )we never used mn for advice and bought what we liked..turned out it wasn't what was suited to us. I also wanted the car seat that attached onto it BUT the shop wouldn't recommend it as it wasn't a good fit for my car (same car which I then sold months later after having dd and never gave it a 2nd thought if the car seat would fit..)so sold me another m&p car seat............6 months later I was back to the same shop buying the pram that fitted the car seat I bought.!

So my advice is to chooce a pram that suits your lifestyle and that you like. Not necessarily the one thats the best deal. Unless thats the one you want...Im waffleing now...
