Have a Dyson at the momnet , have had it for donkey years, I find it heavy and cumbersom.

I would like a new vacum cleaner , my requiremenst are:

Light in weight
Not to take too much storage
Good for stair cleaning ( carpet )
We have a mixture of hard wood floor and carpet so good on both.
We have pets - so good on fur
Resonable price

I also fancy a retractable lead , fed up of winding leads up !

Open to suggestions on all types , cylinder, bag ,upright etc

I have a Henry vac and think it's really good. Very powerful and easier than an upright one for doing the stairs. Use it on the tiled floor in the kitchen too and works really well. Not incredibly light but I'd say easier to move round and lighter than a Dyson! Also dd loves it because of the face!

I traded my Dyson for a Henry and have been very happy.

we had a panasonic icon. It was very light, fab for pet hairs, we have a black dog on cream carpets, very slim upright and i used it on the wood floors., it had a retractable lead. We had it about seven years before it broke and just recently bought a vax, big mistake it is far too heavy as you say. When i can i will get another

Does a Henry come with attachments and tools ?

Yes, Henry does have attachments and tools however don't ask me what they are (or where they are for that matter)!

I have a Miele Petcare - I think that's what its called. It has all the tools on board, so to speak and it comes with a special turbo brush attachment which spins round like a traditional upright hoover. Fab for pet hair. It is easy on the stairs and has a long flex so you don't need to keep unplugging the damn thing!
