Can anyone help me with C4 Picasso

I can barely drive the bloody thing!
I'm absolutely fine once I'm off, it handles great, has all the fancy bits n bobs in it.
But! It's actually taking off that I'm having trouble with. The biting point on the clutch is hideous. It seems really high up and seems to have a very small area of 'bite'
(If any of that makes sense)

I've stalled it a few times, which of course makes me nervous to drive it now.

So does anyone have this car? How do I make sure I can pull off safely?
Do I need to apply revs before finding the biting point?

My previous car was a fiesta, it was lovely would take off on just the clutch, didn't need to use the accelerator. It also had a large biting point so it was easy to find.

I want to trade it in for an automatic, I'm just so fed up with it, but OH disagrees, he loves the stupid car.
I know it's more me than the car, but I'm struggling with it!

I've never had that problem with mine, is it second hand, could it be worth getting a garage to check it?

Agree with pp, never had a problem with mine. Took a bit of getting used to after my nicer VW, but it’s fine now.

I found it a bugger to get used to for the first couple of weeks. And ours was new, so screechy alarms went off during parking, or if you opened a door when the engine was running, which I found really unnerving.

But I'm used to it now and like the parking alarms. The high biting point also made me a stall a few times in week one, and I found myself avoiding driving, but it's all second nature now. Give it a couple more weeks? And keep practicing! Good luck.

If the biting point is really high it sounds like it needs a new clutch

I'm having similar with my new (to me) c3. Clutch seems ridiculously high and I'm finding it hard to not keep resting my foot on it between gears. I've gone from diesel to petrol too, if that's the case for you too then petrols do stall easier?
Might be worth getting it checked but hopefully it's just getting used to the car and not an actual problem with the clutch

You should be applying throttle as you find the biting point anyway.
