Need a family friendly car!

Can anyone recommend a family friendly car for me please?!

  1. has to be very reliable. I'm not keen on Renault, Peugeot or Vauxhall's

  2. big car that's suitable for a 4'11" lady (me!) I've been looking at Toyota Corolla Verso which looks good but not sure if I could drive it?!

  3. not too expensive, maybe a diesel? and preferably get more miles to the gallon as I drive 40mile round trip every day

Thank you Grin

Family friendly means different things to different people.

When our girls were small we had a Skoda Octavia estate to fit the maximum amount of equipment in the enormous boot.

Now we drive a Ford Grand C-Max, which gives up the option of up to 7 seats when required.

Fuel consumption will obviously depend on your choice of engine as well as the model.

Came on to say Skoda. Check you can raise the driver's seat.

We have just got the Ford Focus Estate and it's ideal. Plenty of room in the boot, nice to drive and cheap.

We’ve also got a ford grand c-max as the big boot or 7 seats are handy for extra kids/grandparents and trips! It’s grear day-to-day and we love the rear sliding doors with kids.

Start off by doing some research. Read the reviews carefully and test drive each car. Make a list of questions to ask the car dealership. Compare prices and trust your gut feeling. We love our current car but at some point we will probably invest in a new car for our family. What will you use the vehicle for? What sort of features do you want from a car? Also look at insurance. Get quotes from several and be prepared to walk away if needed.
