Does anyone have a BabyDan Configure Gate/Extension Pack? Or a babydan playpen?

I want to block off a coridor at our church to stop littlies escaping...these items look possible, but I'm wondering how they attach to the wall? Can't seem to see online...

I'm hoping there's a permanent bracket thingy that can stay on the wall and the gate/room divide can slot in and out as requred...

You buy the babydan and then you have to call them to get the wall fixings but they are free.
People do sell them on ebay though.
Mine came in a couple of days.

We have blocked off an area that measures 2 meters wide.

Nbg, thanks for replying. That's very helpful.

So there are wall fixings that stay on the wall and the divider just slots in?

I assume you're talking about the play pen? The configure thing is 3 panels of 60cms, the middle is a gate. Lots cheaper than the pen.

I have the playpen and it came with the wall brackets (screw them onto the wall and playpen attaches) for using as a gate. I haven't got round to fixing the wall brackets (mine like to throw over a blanket and pretend it's a tent).
I love that I have the option to fence off half the room or just keep the babies away from the toddlers.

Same as piximon - our brackets came with the playpen. It's not quite as simple as "slots in and out" though. Don't plan on taking it down every day!!

tassis · 04/06/2007 13:18

thanks both

in what way is it not an simple as slotting in and out?

Sorry for not coming back to this.

Our fixings must be different to Piximons and catilas.

You basically screw a panel to each side of your wall and this has holes in. On the end bars of your gate, you attach the brackets and they have little notches in which go into the holes on the panels. So if we wanted to we just lift it slightly and comes right off.

I know what yours is tassis, we were looking at that too but it wasnt big enough for the area we needed to seal off.
Have you actually bought it yet? If not where are you looking?

tassis · 04/06/2007 13:44

thanks nbg

not bought it yet

corridor appears to be too wide for this, but dh not sure that he measured it exactly

Oh no!

We were left with 2 panels from the babydan so we have 3 up and one with the gate.

tassis · 04/06/2007 13:57

sorry, getting confused (so many gates!) the problem with this gate for the church isn't the width of the whole thing, but that the gate part isn't wide enough to get prams through

i am however thinking that we may end up using it at home if the lascal roller style one doesn't work

Oh right, I'm with you now!

But could you not take the gate off while pushchairs get in and then put it back on while the children are toddling about?

tassis · 04/06/2007 14:13

it's for a toddler group and the mums do tend to arrive in dribs and drabs so this could be a pain...it is possible though (which is why I keep going on about it!) because most of the prams could go in another room and it'd just be the double buggies and prams with sleeping babies in that'd need to go through

thanks for all your input!

Ooooh its a toughie isnt it.

You could just show them how to un hook one side so they can move it to get the pushchairs in.
