They sound really good! Can't understand why they are so much cheaper than GHD's!

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 04/06/2007 18:15

they are wikkid.. I just wish they would do a wide plate one so it would be quicker on my massive bush, lol

just looking for a photo of my hair so you can see the result

Pinkchampagne · 04/06/2007 18:19

I have very thick hair, but only have the thinner GHD's, which I have been pretty impressed with. Can't justify buying anymore straightners right now, but when my GHD's die on me, I shall look into purchasing some FHI's!

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 04/06/2007 18:24

not very clear but hopefully you can see

my hair is very thick and coarse, almost pubic-like and it comes lovely and soft and glossy with the FHI's

overdraft · 04/06/2007 18:27

superdrug do them. got mine at bluewater so maybe only the bigger stores

Pinkchampagne · 04/06/2007 18:28

Wow, your hair looks lovely & straight! Where did you hear about these straighteners?

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 04/06/2007 18:32

I read about them somewhere.. can't remember where, and I was ready for a new set soo.. decided for that price I didn't have much to lose and I'm really glad I did now

RubberDuck · 04/06/2007 20:29

right im a hair dressert ghd ar ethe superior irons on the market they are better because

they use infared technology
which is passed thru the ceramic plate
which emits negative ions which means your hair stays sleeker and flatter

the mark 2 which have just been released have a two year guarentee and have a 5 day turnaround with replacements

if they ever break you go to your nearest salon and they will give you a pre paid silver envelope which you put your irons in and they are sent off to the manufacture and replaced

honestly i use them nearly eight hours a day to wave curl ringlet and straigten hair they are the best fh1 are crap in comparison and using straighteners wet to dry fry's your cuticle between the plates and knackers your hair

sorry for the lecture

dressedupnowheretogo · 04/06/2007 20:55

lol at typo im a hair dressert
sorry for lecture

infrared technology ... that means it gets warm, right ... sounds dubious pseudo-science to me! FHIs use "infrared heat" too (can you have heat that is NOT in the infrared spectrum?!!)

FHIs are ceramic tourmaline with "ionic technology - Directly infusing negative ions into the hair at a rate 20 times more than most other straighteners resulting in hair that is more moisturised and in better condition" - so I guess that includes the negative ions too.

Still can't see what GHDs have that FHIs don't, sorry (other than a better known brand-name).
