E3 - one last question(s)!

Hi - I was just about to order this but then had another look at it at the weekend and it just doesn't look that comfortable. My dd (20 months) looked tiny in it - her chin was just above the bumper bar and there seems to be a metal bar under her legs.

Is it comfortable?

DD loves to sit really upright so she can see everything that's going on - hate it when I see toddlers sort of slumped back which happens with a lot of 3 wheelers. Will she be able to do this (do I need the racing seat?) as I'd hate to buy something she ends up hating.

Many thanks!

I found the e3 to be more upright than most 3 wheelers, my dd manages to sit up quite happily in it. I didn't buy the race seat as didn't think I needed it, and to be honest I don't as when it gets colder I shall use the sleep bag which I did buy. hth

To sit really upright you need to stuff a cushion or folded jumper down behind her - that's what we found and what others reported way back when it was called a Kiwi Explorer (do an archived messages search). DD got used to the slightly more reclined position and we've not had any complaints about discomfort in over a year of use.

OK - seems good!

By the way, if I buy it when on hol to USA and bring it back as a working pram (i.e. not in it's box), I won't have to pay tax on it when I come in will I? Or is that effectively tax avoidance and will I get into trouble?!

I think you only pay tax on it if you get stopped by the Customs official and asked about it but since it's not going to be in the box and you're likely to be pushing your child in it while walking through Customs, you should be fine.

I just ordered one off Kiwi-Kid last week, hasn't arrived yet and don't know if I'll be hit with VAT and Customs duty on it but it still works out cheaper than buying in the UK - can't wait!
