Could someone with a QUINNY BUZZ, please answer a question for me?

I am trying to work out if it will fit in my stupid boot. Long story, don't ask!

I know you have to take the seat off to fold it and I know the wheels come off too.

The dimensions everyone quotes for it folded are 80x20x60cm. This must be with the wheels off.

Anyway what I need to know is - the seat unit, separately, how big is it? Is it rigid in the middle where the bum part is, or does it squash down flat?

Hope that makes a little sense

Well it looks like it would fit. We have narrowed it down to the Bugaboo, Buzz or Britax Vigour 3 wheeler. Buzz seems most practical for the car.

DH went and tried them out in Mothercare today and said the Buzz was too difficult for him to fold

I had a polo - I've since upgraded to a Scenic but I took the parcel shelf out of my polo put the frame of the buzz in the boot on it's side and the seat in with baby on the back seat. The irony is now I have a Scenic I use my XT as my car buggy and the Buzz lives in the house and is used for walks from the house. It is way too heavy to be lifting in and out a car boot and, once you are out of the carry cot stage, there is really no advantage over a stroller for in town.

must admit we just got a buzz last week and I have never tried one before hand, just wanted one lol. I noticed that it is hard to close it but think this maybe because its new so slightly stiff and also because im not used to using it iykwim..maybe thats the same with your dh..??

He tried it in comparison to the Britax Vigour, which is an absolute doddle to fold!

yes although folding the Buzz frame is in principle quite straightforward (much more so than the Bugaboo imo), there is a bit of a knack - this involves standing with your feet straddling the front wheel and leaning right over the pram, so that when you release the catches you can push directly and evenly downwards with both hands. It can feel quite resistant when you do it though as you are pushing against the hydraulic.

From what I can gather, he was standing behind the handle leaning over. The sales lady said another way to do it was to do it from the front and push the handle down with your head!

In the long term, the Buzz will fit in the boot with the seat unit too.

The others we've looked at will require buying an umbrella buggy too.

Do you fold yours in 2 pieces, hatrick?

I thought that would be how I would do it.

Honestly, I am sick to death of trying to make this decision..

DH thinks my mum would never be able to fold it!

Ceolas - ooh good luck if you do (I was packing it today, it really is in great nick, not just saying that, honest)

btw no idea what they meant about pushing the handle down with your head - never tried that!
