FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2007 18:45

I won't be selling any for as long as this deal is on, this beats my price (and I just charge the exact wholesale price plus postage), so go for it while it lasts chaps

nanninurse · 25/05/2007 22:54

Great price.

Everyone should have one!

I need a poster or info leaflets to put up in

the health centre'. Anyone know where i could get some?

just ordered mine!

if you are even just thinking about it my advice is to go for it - I ummed and ahhed for a while but I used it for the first time last month and it was wonderful - less scratchy and intrusive than tampons and less disgusting and external than pads.

I am quite squemish but I found this much beeter than any other sanitary products and maybe it was psychological but my period paon was not as bad either.

I had my period whilst I was on holiday. Didn't even notice my Mooncup through my partying and lazing on the beach.

Money well spent!!!!!!!!!!!!!

burstingbug · 28/05/2007 10:55

I'm scared to try it, what happens if I have a big fanjo and the mooncup falls out, or it leaks or I cant get it out ?
I get tampon ache though, would I get the ache with a MC?

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2007 11:21

burstingbug they do come in 2 sizes and most of us here would be right for the larger size (if you are over 30 or have given birth vaginally). You shouldn't have trouble keeping it in unless you have a medical issue with your pelvic floor, honestly.

Some people do find it leaks, especially at first when they are getting used to it. There are various things to try if this happens. Most women find it doesn't leak.

Getting it out is a knack but as it sits quite low down in your vagina it isn't usually hard to get hold of it, and then you just squeeze to release the suction and pull gently out. It does come with a "tail" at the bottom which you can grab hold of, but most people remove this for comfort and just use the ridges around the base to help them pull it out.

I find it extremely comfortable and many people report that their periods are less painful while using it. I have spoken to MNers who have not found it has worked for them but I don't think comfort is usually an issue once the tail has been trimmed and the person has got the hand of inserting it.

burstingbug · 28/05/2007 11:27

Not quite 30, but 2 births vaginally. 8lb 3 & 8lb 6. Episiotomy with the first, 2nd degree tear with my second. I'm still not comfortable with myself down there iyswim

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2007 11:37

Oh I am sorry bb, are things still physically tender or are you mentally wary? I had a nasty bodged episiotomy with ds and it took a LONG time before I felt ok about my body again. Tbh I won't ever feel the same as I did before I gave birth, I don't think, but I don't feel as squeamish and vulnerable any more.

The mooncup is very flexible and is not painful at all when it is inside you. You could be very gentle with yourself when inserting and removing it. But if it is uncomfortable to touch that area at all you may be better with pads until things improve?

burstingbug · 28/05/2007 12:15

Think I'm more mentally wary than physically. Just don't want to potentially cause more damage than already there.

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2007 12:15

Yes I understand
