hi after seeing lots of people rating the loola i decided to have a look at them (quite fancy one for DS3 ) However does it come with the hood/apron thing cos all the pictures show it without?

Sorry if not making much sense...blame the pregnancy brain

Mine came with a hood and a raincover (the "spec" specified). I like it but it can be quite heavy, I've just had to invest in a lightweight buggy for the tube etc, oh and also just to be warned we bought the carrycot and only used it for about a month or so - DS then took against it so I took him around in a sling

Our loola came with the hood and a raincover. We got from dorisbeachbaby on e-bay - she seems to regularly have them for sale, lots cheaper than in the shops. I love it and have it as 4th pram for no 3 child after a M & P (completely anhilated by airline), 3 wheeler (went manky in garage) and double Nipper. The loola folds up really compactly and fits easily into the boot of the car.

We got the carrycot and found it very useful as no 3 hated crib but was quite comfy sleeping in there. We kept him in it until he virtually touched both ends at 6 months! The mattress is washable and small pram sheets fitted very well to make a cosy bed.

Its drawbacks are

  • completely useless basket underneath - virtually unuseable for anything bigger than a newspaper! But can hang copious quantities of bags from the handles

  • the seat does not recline very much (2 positions only) if you have the seat facing you - 3 positions if facing away from you. So would recommed carry cot or creatis car seat for a very young baby.

  • the whole thing can actually be quite wide if you have the front wheels free and not fixed - I have occasionally got stuck in doors that I would expect a single pushchair to go through easily.

Being able to use the carrycot as a crib was really really handy at the beginning, and it does fit into the car really well!

Someone did tell me that although it says that you can use the carrycot as a lie flat car seat this hasn't had proper testing? You might want to check with a retailer if you were going to...
