We all love swimming and I am wondering whether to blow some of my savings and buy one this year for our garden. The max i could/want to spend is £1500, and its currently between a doughboy and some kind of easyset pool, the thing is there is a large price difference (easyset somes in around £500 and the doughboy would be around £1300).

But how do you heat yours? Does it cost a lot on elecriticity? I have only just started researching into it so any tips would be greatly recieved to see whether its all feasible!!

we have a 12 foot easyset so smaller than you are probobly looking at for that price (only cost £99!!) its massive, took 2 days to fill, has a filter pump and heater and is freezing despite eating electricity!

everytime i walk out the front door i can hear my water meter laughing at me!! In hindsight i would have gone with a portable spa as i hate cold pools, but you can get solar covers and stuff which would reduce the electricity usage, the chemicals are easy to use, and if you are unmetered for your water then it won't be a problem!

Have fun!! Happy Splashing!
