I like your one better as this one has bobbles on the top deck which I'd have nightmares about (little ones hanging themselves from their clothes etc).

luciemule · 19/05/2007 15:33

looks lovely. I did read that kids shouldn't sleep on top bunks until they're 7.

Hilllary · 19/05/2007 15:34

Sorry This

nailpolish · 19/05/2007 15:36

lucie, basically dd1 (4.5) will sleep on the bottom bunk the majority of the time

mum comes to stay v reguarly and instead of her sleeping on the couch in the living room she can sleep in dd2's bedroom in dd2's single bed and dd2 (2.5) can then sleep on dd1's bottom bunk and dd1 can sleep on the top (for one night, once a month or wahtever)

does that sound ok?

i am fairly confident dd1 will not fallout, she has never ever fllen out of bed

i think bunk beds from about 3 are ok. i do know of a little boy who is in a bunk bed at 22 months but he doesn't get up in the night.
