It's my neice's birthday coming up and have had a block on ideas! Any good ideas of what you have found a success for your one year olds?

I think nice clothes are a great 1st birthday present as the child is probably going to be showered with toys.

Book also good and easily exchanged if they've got it. A classic like the V Hungry Caterpillar or Each Peach Pear Plum?

I agree with the buggy but try and get one with a bit of weight behind it. We have the Graco dolls buggy and it is a bit more heavy than normal ones. I got it at a car boot but they are £10 in Asda at the moment. My ds 14 mths has no problems pushing it - it has only tipped a few times on him.

I've see the Brio Shape sorter in a Brio catalogue. A little shop in our town orders in what you want. I've no idea how much it is, but they do a pink one and a black one, and I think another colour. I'm going to get one for my nieces 1st birthday.
