Got soaked alot last week, and apparently the weather is set to continue for this week.

I walk to and from school and so really need to invest in a proper rain coat.jacket.

Can't afford alot, but if someone has one that they reckon is the bees knees then show me and i'll stick it on my mums card.

Preferably want black, no flowers or bright patterns on it, and nothing really short, bums get wet aswell you know

North Face do some lovely ones but probably will be in excess of £100.

Saying that it will last you a lifetime (they are guaranteed that long) and they look lovely (my friend has a cream and scralet one and it looks sooo nice)

I think the consensus is that you can have 'nice' or you can have 'waterproof', but not both (and there have been a few threads on this). YOu could have a look at Millets though.

NuttyMuffins · 13/05/2007 16:23

Will look those up mosschops.

Ta for the link Jackie -they do have a black one that looks ok, tis £60 which isn't bad I suppose.

Am not overly keen on any I have seen so far, but as you say, I don't think nice and waterproof go together.

YOu could go for something like this ? Bit cheaper.

You need a drizabone

JackieNo · 13/05/2007 16:29

And this is a bit more stylish, but doesn't have a hood, so no use if you're pushing a pram/pushchair.

Lilymaid · 13/05/2007 16:33

This is rather cheaper than the North Face one and is effective (I've had one for several years).

NuttyMuffins · 13/05/2007 16:43

Hmm not keen on those sue.

We have a Blacks nearby, will have to go have a look.

I don't push a pram anymore, but am quite often loaded up with shopping so would need a hood still.
