Doesn't exist...sorry

ChasingSquirrels · 11/05/2007 21:31

we have a couple of basic £1 tesco ones, not had any leaks yet (18m+) but not used every day for school.

charliecat · 11/05/2007 21:34

those buxton bottles of water...6 pack, reused for the term.

I can't believe I'm about to tell you this, but my dd takes a Fruitshoot bottle! My dd never drinks anything prepacked (honest!), but one of my mindees arrived with a Fruitshoot and when it was empty I re-filled it for dd. Its just big enough, but small enough iyswim, to fit in her lunch box. I need to get a new one actually, I put it in the dishwasher and it has melted into a funny shape. Still works though!

ChasingSquirrels · 11/05/2007 21:36

oh yeah we use empty fruit shoots too (after ds has drunk them obviously), haven't melted in our d/washer but do find that they can sometimes leak - though probably when he doesnt close them properly as they don't leak until after he has had them.

SlightlyMadScarecrow · 11/05/2007 21:36

Buy your DC a fruit shoot - tipping contents down the sink. The bottle is very good, leakproof and easy to drink from.

Peel the label off - they'll never know!!!

jalopy · 11/05/2007 21:54

Agree. Small mineral water bottles seem to be water-tight. Tend to re-use those.

I've got an older version of these (square and see-through but same design of lid). I bought them years ago and might have to replace them because they are getting a bit manky looking now (ds has chewed the tops) but they are the only drinks bottles I've found that haven't leaked. My children were able to drink out of them easily from quite a young age.

Furball · 12/05/2007 06:39

I bought one of these and it's very good.

Another vote for a small bottle of mineral water..

or a kids to go cup with a fold down spout dont leak until several months old i have found

donnie · 12/05/2007 11:02

agree with the small mineral water bottles. I have a cupboard full of every type of bottle imaginable, all of which leak!

fortyplus · 12/05/2007 11:32

Yup - just the normal mineral water bottles which cost about 40p including contents and can then be re-used for ages. BUT... only put the top in the dishwasher, not the bottle itself.
