Double pram/buggy required???

I am pg and my ds will be 22mths when the baby is born. Will I need a double pram/buggy or will I be able to get away with a board on the back of my existing pram?

Also, I'll probably need a lightweight, easy to fold buggy for ds in the meantime, what do you recomend?

shhh - I think the newer versions include the guards for the wheels. Not a problem I've had though.

ha!! obviously the makers of p&t have been keeping an eye to mner's reviews .

NappiesGalore · 11/05/2007 22:45

agree w iquidclocks. i not only researched, but was , shamefully, addicted to buying prams for a bit. so ive used a fair few, and i do think the P&T is right up there and would almost def be most practical for you.

and if you have another rightaway (yeah, like youre as daft as me!)... well, best you research the abcbuggy co from NZ and get your order in early (takes forever to ship)

shhh - the couriers i referred to are PayPerDrop and you can book them through ebay. dont think they are ebays couriers per se... i sent a buggy to someone a fortnight ago for 4.99 - picked upfrom e and delivered in 48hrs. 'mazin.

ng, thanks for the advice! Would love another one although I am mad as ds is only 13 weeks and dd is 2 next week..ds has been very ill since birth and has had x2 operations since, due another 2 and has a stoma fitted...yet I would do it all again...MADDD.... I know.

DH has said there is no way I am having another with him... We always wanted 5 yet ds's arrival has hit us hard.

Nappies - it's not impossible Thx for the advice, I'll go and have a look at the P&T one, sounds like it might be just what I need

yeah I hope so. Just hard for us and not so much for ds. I suppose babies bounce back but its us who have the awful things to deal with and to remember...

Hopefully things should be sorted by the summer so this time next year it will be a distant memory or nightmare....

Here's to working my magic on dh in a year/2 years time .

Good luck with the pram hunt and let us know how you get on xx

Have a gap of 38 months and a cosatto duet lite. Ds1 was just starting to use the pram less then we got the new one and hey presto he wanted to spend all his time in it (still does 5 months on!).
Ditto previous comments on it. Would say it is good for us because ds1 no longer sleeps in the day. If your lo does then this may not be the best pram for you - depending on how much you use your pushy that is. The few occasions ds1 has fallen asleep in it he's not looked that comfy!
Have a number of friends with second children now and practically all have started with a buggy board and graduated to a double buggy.

shhh - sad to hear about your troubs with ds - wish him well from me and hope youre all a-ok in no time at all
