I am planning a trip to Australia in November and I need to buy some things online before I get there (to be delivered to the inlaws that we will be visiting). I will need some summer clothes for the baby (6 months) and some summer clothes for me too. None of the shops here have their summer ranges in store anymore! Also, I will need a booster seat for the car for my 3 year old. Is there an equivilant of Argos or something? And what would be a good clothes site?

Thanks!

I will have a look and see what I can find for you. there are a number of summer clothes in the stores at the moment. Where are your in-laws?!?!

Perhaps you could hire the booster seat rather than buying another one....

Sydney website here

this one has lots of websites and addresses in Qld but there are link for other states...

here

hope this is a start.

I would wait until you get here and go shopping for clothes for you.... one morning in a shopping centre and you would be sorted for clothes for you and babe - use your short sleeved baby gros for easy baby clothes.
When we were here last time travelling before we moved back dd ( 8 mths at the time) spent a lot of time in babygros....

Target/KMart or BIG W for clothes would be fine for holiday things....very reasonable - try BONDS as a brand - brilliant well made clothes

Hi no such thing as argos sorry, you could look here \linkwww.pumpkinpatch.com.au{} for baby/kids clothes. I would also ask your inlaws to hire a booster seat from the ambulance, they install it in their car so it will be ready for you when they pick you up from the airport. I agree with eidsvold, you can pick up anything else clothes wise from the shopping centre. OZ is americanised in this respect huge centres with all major shops - myer, david jones, target, big W. You may need light jumpers in nov as nights do get cool - depends on which state you are visiting and how close to the water you are. I hope the link works if not look up pumpkin patch.

I will be going to Noosaville. Although there is a shopping centre there, I don't think its a big one. Not sure what sort of shops there are. As to the booster seat, I might buy one on ebay.com.au as they seem very cheap and i can get it sent straight there.

I am pleased to know there are target/kmart there - I used to live in the US and know these stores. Do you know if there are any near Noosaville?

noosaville - I am in Brisbane - not sure about noosa but there is a massive shopping centre in Maroochydore - just down the road.... Sunshine Plaza it is called from memory - would have everything you needed.

haven't been to noosa in ages but doing a little digging - shopping centre called noosa fair... claims to have all the major shops so that should be fine ( but doesn't list them - sorry) - even coles and woolies ( supermarkets) have baby gros and little outfits....November - baby gros and singlets with nappy for babe... toddler - shorts and t- shirt... look into buying him/her a sunsmart swimsuit - saves a lot of time with applying sunscreen and a fraction of the price they are in the UK. We got dd's just from a chemist when we were up the sunshine coast.

ALso wonderful markets - if you get a chance - Eumindi markets are fabulous....

Hope that helps.

Thanks - excellent site! My inlaws have confimred that Sunshine PLaza is 30 min by car from their place and has everything. So I am not going to worry too much about getting stuff here before we go.
