Calling for owners' opinions on Jane pushchairs

Hi all, I am choosing the first pram/travel system and it is a tricky business.
I like Jane options (Slalom/Carrera/Nomad) for their Pro Auto carrycot that can be used as a lie flat car seat (and yes I know Which and Mothercare do not like these).
Which one of the three did you have experience with? I will be going for walks over some cobbled streets and park paths, as well as the normal city pavements. Will be doing some driving but not too much. Probably wll have to use public transport after 6 months. Any advice on choosing, as well as good and bad comments, are very much appreciated!
From what I've heard Jane is really good but that was just one person...
Thank you!

we had trouble with the front wheel of our powertwin - it had to be sent to Ireland to be fixed, and we were without it for about 2 months, this was only after 1 month of owing it
grrrrr
I will never buy something so expensive from a cheapo online shop, so do think about buying from an actual reputable place so you ahve backup if something does go wrong

since it's been fixed it's been fab

true, hana. our local shop will match an internet price but it will have to go back to the manufacturers. if you buy from them direct (£30 more) you get it guaranteed for the time the first child uses it and a like-for-like while anything's being fixed. i've taken it in for a service and they also did the swap from the pram to the buggy thing. well worth buying from a reputable dealer.

Just want to second what gybegirl said about the Jane lie flat car seat, as far as I know, the standard for Children's car seats is only tested in a 30mph head on crash. Which do their tests at higher speeds and take into account the side impact protection as well. I did see a clip online (although I can't find it again) of a crash where the baby was in a lie flat car seat and it was very disturbing, offered no real protection at all. Don't want to alarm anyone but I didn't feel right not saying anything after reading the previous posts, any type of car seat is better than none.

Hi,
I have Slalom, not pro the old version had it for 2 years now. We love it. We had Matrix but it only used as carrycot when dd was little, as we had Britax first class in rear facing in the car all the time. Matrix was good when we went holiday (dd 5m) she slept flat in it, and sit up in it when awake, etc..
We went Scotland, Highlands (dd 4m) and she slept while we walked mountain walk for couple of hours. We went beach many times, and its great on sand and pebbles. Dh was well impressed.
We will be still using it with bump due this summer, although i have my mind on P&Ts.
BTW, Elz is selling her Slalom on for sale board. probably worth checking
