Breadmaker - storing your lovely fresh bread

For anyone with a breadmaker - how do you store your loaves?
I used to store mine in ventilated plastic bread bags nicked from the "slice your own loaf" section of the bakery in Asda, but they've stopped doing them.
Have tried foil but it didn't stand up to wrapping and unwrapping, and don't want to use normal plastic bags.
So what does everyone else do?

I prefer to store mine internally

But on the odd occasion when I don't eat it all, we just leave it out on the worktop, on a wooden board, covered with a clean tea towel.

Mine don't last long enough to store!

Erm...tea towel til it cools, then ordinary placcy bag.

Common or garden old fashioned plain brown baking paper, available from Tesco's in large rolls. One piece of paper last about three loaves before it gets too ratty.

Very old fashion, but. . .I store it on a bread board (a kind of wooden, slatted cutting board meant for bread) with a tea towel on top. I store it that way for the full 48 hours or whatever it takes for us to consume it. I'm wary of plastic because I worry it makes for a hospitable environment for mold.

True, the end bit tends to get a bit dry, but I tend to slice that bit off and either toast it or discard it.

Paper bags seemed to work well for us, or if we couldn't find big enough and strong enough ones we used to put the bread in a pillowcase and put that in a drawer or a box with a loose lid. I think the trick was to store the bread in something that was not quite airtight but would retain some moisture.

In paper (be it brown paper, greaseproof paper etc) NEVER in plastic.

I have a couple of rbead bags from tchibo. I bought them ages and ages ago so not sure if they still do them. Otherwise lakeland do them but they cost a bit more there.
They are great and keep it nice and fresh for a day or two.
