1/ how old is your baby/child?

older - 8 and almost 5

2/a) where do you put your baby/child, for example - playpen, bouncy chair, etc - A variety, asleep usually in the cot or pram, otherwise sometimes car seat, bouncy chair, DS1 quite liked the playpen, DS2 didn't and DS2 had a battery operated swing which was fantastic, he loved it, otherwise they were rolling about on the floor, in my arms usually feeding.
b)is it fully portable? (up and down stairs, from room to room) Only the car seat and bouncy chair were portable.

3/ if you are not satisfied with existing products which act as a safe place to put a baby, how much would you like to have something which was fully portable/collapsible and which a baby could sleep in or play in? please rate from 1(not at all) to 5(a great deal) I was relatively happy with the choices we had.

ds is now 14 months, but I used mainly to put him on a mat flat on the floor, or a bouncy chair if I wanted him to be able to see what I was doing (generally in the kitchen). He's always slept in his cot. Hope that helps

A lot older

Wherever they didn't cry

The way the question is worded - it's a no brainer!

1/ how old is your baby/child?

older - DD is 5yo

2/a) where do you put your baby/child, for example - playpen, bouncy chair, etc.

When tiny DD would go in her rocker chair or on her play mat. When a bit older and I needed to contain her for a short period of time int he home she went in her high chair. Never had a playpen. She only slept in her (bedside) cot at night time.

b)is it fully portable? (up and down stairs, from room to room)

We were in a one storey flat so no problem moving things about.

3/ if you are not satisfied with existing products which act as a safe place to put a baby, how much would you like to have something which was fully portable/collapsible and which a baby could sleep in or play in? please rate from 1(not at all) to 5(a great deal)

Never used things like this much, so 1

DD 3 and DS 8 months

youngest is now four
ds1 was usually placed in middle of double bed, or held by me. i only ever left him to go to toilet after dh came home.
ds2 was left under playgym, in baby bouncer, the older sort where they rock themselves with kicking motin. or in cot
dd, either in cot, or puchchair, or carseat. never in babt gym or rocker unless i was watching like a hawk cox otherwise ds2 would give her 'hugs'
cant stand the idea of putting baby in a cage, as i call playpens.

  1. 3 and 5

  2. a Baby seat (mothercare vibrating thing)
padded play mat, when older graco activity centre , did have a baby bouncer (attatch to doorframe ..) both hated it with a passion
    b) play mat and bouncer portable, but had to take bub out to move it , activity centre was huge but well loved so worth it taking up the whole of our tiny living room !

  3. 5 Anything that could keep them occupied for even a short space of time was invaluable

  4. value for money
    ease of use
    environmentally friendly
    style

  5. As a semi lentil weaver i would always go for the more enviromentally friendly option given the choice of two similar products

1/ how old is your baby/child?
12 months

2/a) where do you put your baby/child, for example - playpen, bouncy chair, etc.
On floor. Baby gym until 5 months, after that he wouldn't stay still anywhere else.
Tried a play pen - much screaming!

b)is it fully portable? (up and down stairs, from room to room) Used to take the baby gym up and down stairs, then invested in one for each floor.
