Baby wipes??

SaajansMummy · 27/01/2018 16:33

I have been using water wipes so far with my baby but they are getting a bit pricy for long term use... when is the best time to move on from water wipes? And also what would you recommend to use?

thanks!

We use the huggies pure ones - they have a similar composition.

JJPP123 · 27/01/2018 16:36

Ive always usef johnson sensitive or whatever they're called. My babies' bottoms haven't had a hint of soreness

TimesNewRoman · 27/01/2018 16:37

I prefer huggies pure to water wipes

TimesNewRoman · 27/01/2018 16:38

I moved to them after a couple weeks

Rainshowers · 27/01/2018 16:39

We use the Aldi sensitive ones, had no problems whatsoever with them but DD has pretty good skin. We tried Johnsons but found them quite soapy. Pampers sensitive were fine too (but the Aldi ones are so cheap!)

bluechameleon · 27/01/2018 16:40

Washable wipes. They clean so much better than disposable wipes - one is usually enough even for a poo. I spent about £20 on them initially. I've just replaced most of ours now after 3 years because they were getting a bit holey.

custardcream1988 · 27/01/2018 16:42

Aldi Sensitive.

Also, Aldi nappies. I would genuinely never buy Pampers again. Aldi do as good of a job for half the price.

Argeles · 27/01/2018 16:43

I think Tesco wipes are the best.

We used to use Pampers wipes, then family bought some for us from Johnson’s, Huggies, Lidl own brand, Boots own brand and Waitrose, but we bought Tesco ones once, and they’re the best all round for us. They’re award winning too.

We also use Tesco pull up pants, and used to use their nappies. Before that, we always used Pampers, but tried Boots own brand ones which leaked a good few times, and 3 nappies in the pack were faulty (didn’t have the adhesive tapes on them).

Swear by aldi sensitive wipes here. You can sometimes get them in bulk for cheap. They also have a really handy click shut dispenser bit.

cocopops88 · 27/01/2018 16:46

Aldi sensitive here too. The Lidl ones are ok but not as thick.

BelfastSmile · 27/01/2018 16:46

We use washable wipes too - that way you're just using plain water. We've had no issues; the initial set (from Cheeky Wipes) is still going strong after almost 4 years.

If we're out and about and don't have washables, we normally use Tesco wipes, which are fine.

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 27/01/2018 16:47

Cheeky wipes. They are washable. Really good product.

CoconutGo · 27/01/2018 16:47

Huggies pure were the closest thing I could find.

Tesco unscented

Sinistrophobia · 27/01/2018 16:55

We swear by the aldi sensitive wipes here too, my DD has really sensitive skin and eczema - some of which is around the nappy area and these are the only wipes that haven't brought her out in a rash.
If we use other brands of wipes, especially on her face, she ends up red and blotchy.

Discusting · 27/01/2018 17:06

Aldi sensitive ones here too.

TeddyIsaHe · 27/01/2018 17:07

Aldi sensitive here as well! Moved over when Dd was 6 months and waterwipes were no longer any good at cleaning food poops.

CarrotCakeMuffins · 27/01/2018 17:09

Another user of Aldi Sensitive wipes (plus their nappies too when not using washable ones).

hazeyjane · 27/01/2018 17:11

With my dad I used reusable wipes, I had a set of little towelling ones, and some I made.

With ds I use Waitrose biodegradable unperfumed

I hope you mean "DD" Grin

hazeyjane · 27/01/2018 17:26

Cheesus Christ!! I really do mean dds

BlackSailsInTheSunset · 27/01/2018 17:27

The Asda and Aldi sensitive ones are both good. We bought into the whole Water Wipes thing to start with, realised it was extortionate and swapped to the Asda ones. They're absolutely fine on him, no rash at all (and my baby has quite sensitive skin too, he can't handle baby lotion etc)

Lemonnaise · 27/01/2018 17:50

Aldi or Tesco sensitive ones are really good.

Oly5 · 27/01/2018 17:53

Huggies.. abs they’re cheap!
